Become a Community Host

Great communities don't happen by accident. They grow because people care enough to bring others together.

Our Hosts are an essential part of what makes I Wanna Do It But Not Alone special.

They create welcoming environments, bring people together, and help turn individual events into lasting community connections.

Who Can Become a Host?

Hosting is based on involvement, trust, reliability, and alignment with our community values.

We generally look for members who:

• Have actively participated in our events and are known to the organizing team.
• Understand and support our community's mission and culture.
• Demonstrate reliability, good judgment, and respect for others.
• Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Enjoy bringing people together and helping others feel included.
• Are willing to take responsibility for an event from planning through completion.

You do not need professional event-planning experience.

What matters most is your attitude, reliability, and ability to create a positive experience for others.

Ways to Get Involved

There are several ways to contribute:

Event Helper — Support an existing Host with welcoming guests, check-in, or event logistics.

Table Host — Help facilitate conversation and connection within a small group.

Event Host — Plan and lead an approved activity for our community.
